Evidence-based Practices
Simply stated, best practices represents the coming together of knowledge and skills of the practitioner; the desires and values of the consumer/family; and the best research evidence that links a particular intervention with a desired outcome.
The term "best practice" is a compilation of evidence-based practice, promising practices, emerging practice, value-based practice, and practice-based evidence.
